Relationships end. Locations change. Careers pivot. People come and go. Through all of it, Pitufo and Obi have been the ones who are always there. And I have always been there for them, except on the rarest of occasions.
We live on the road, the three of us. How do we travel? If the dogs can’t come, we’re not going. There are so many places where they’re welcome, and those are the places we want to see.
But sometime next year I’ll have to leave them for the longest time ever. I’m planning to go home to visit family and friends for the first time in a while, for up to six weeks. My biggest worry isn’t the flight or the time away. It’s Pitufo and Obi.
I know they’ll be ok. But they deserve so much more than ok.
I’d left them with sitters before and asked how they were, and got one word back: “Good.” No photo. No detail. That’s why I built The Paws We Love, so it’s ready before I need to leave them with someone else again.
And while building it and sharing it with other dog lovers, we started asking a bigger question. What if every dog’s story travelled with them, including the ones still waiting for a home?

They’re not a season or a gift. They’re a life that depends on us, every single day. Everything we build starts there.
To make sure every dog is cared for the way the person who loves them would, whoever is looking after them and wherever they are.
A world where every dog’s routine, needs and quirks travel with them: to every sitter, every family member, and one day, from shelter to foster to forever home.
Real detail, not “they’re fine”. Every meal, every walk, every must know.
Staying close to the dogs we love, even when we’re apart.
Every change comes from the people who use it, starting with us.
